The young musician Ulaş Nesil shapes, in an impressive and singular way, a stupendous synthesis of jazz and Kurdish music. Raised in Basel but deeply connected to his Kurdish roots, he approaches the Melodiya Ruhen me — the melodies of our soul — with his voice and traditional Kurdish instruments.
